The heat generated is much less.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Mercury Free:<\/span><\/strong><span>\u00a0No mercury is used in the manufacture of LEDs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Dimmable:<\/span><\/strong><span>\u00a0LEDs did not have the ability to be dimmed when they first came out.\u00a0Now, the amount of light can be easily adjusted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Advantages of LED Lighting<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Efficiency of LED Lighting<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>Generally, it is claimed to be highly efficient in new technology products.\u00a0However, this is the case with LEDs.\u00a0To produce the same amount of light, it consumes 1\/5 of the energy compared to old technology bulbs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Color Temperature Range of LEDs<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>LEDs offer color temperature options.\u00a0Each product has a Color Temperature (CCT) corresponding to a specific Kelvin (K) temperature scale.\u00a0The lower the Kelvin value, the warmer and closer to yellow the light is.\u00a0As it rises, it becomes cold and bluish.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Thus, it has a wide usage area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span>What is CRI?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>CRI is a quantitative measure of how accurately an LED bulb renders colors compared to a natural Light source.\u00a0Bearing in mind that an incandescent bulb has a CRI of 100, an LED with a CRI of 80 is fine.\u00a0A CRI of 80 to 90 percent is the most common LED CRI ratings you can find on the market today.\u00a0However, CRI is not always an accurate indicator, as some LEDs with low CRIs of 20-30 percent can produce clearer and more precise white light than a 90% rating.\u00a0That&#8217;s why the CRI rating isn&#8217;t as important as the wattage and color temperature.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span>How long do LEDs really last?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>LED has a long lifespan with most of the options available rated for at least 20,000 hours of operation.\u00a0Some brands are pushing this limit, and many offer 30,000 to 50,000 hours as standard;\u00a0This means you can choose a lifespan that suits your needs.\u00a0A fixture used only a few hours a day can last 20+ years, while some fixtures left on all day and night wear out faster.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is LED Lighting?
